Reading Program K-12

Nonpublic Reading Services

Teachers provide supplementary/remedial services to school age children.  Supplementary support services to assist students to perform at grade level include direct reading instruction, study skills, learning strategies, and writing composition.  This specialized instruction/support is not special education, nor is it tutoring, but is aligned with classroom instruction to maximize student strengths and assist students with individual reading related needs.  Remedial support is provided for those students whose skills fall below grade level expectancy.  Remedial reading support focuses on building reading comprehension, reading fluency, and vocabulary through a sound knowledge foundation of reading skills.
