tda Text Dependent Analysis Sessions

    Week of January 29, 2018 - February 2, 2018

    A regional work session for curriculum leaders and 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teacher leaders to closely read and analyze complex informational texts and write TDA prompts to accompany those texts. Participating school districts will have access to a resource bank that includes complex texts and TDA prompts (literary and informational) for grades 4 - 8. Lunch will be provided.     spotlight Spotlight on Contemporary Antisemitism

     Through this program, educators will:
    1) Define contemporary manifestations of antisemitism, both different and the same as traditional forms of antisemitism present before and during the Holocaust
    2) Discover and utilize classroom lessons and resources to help students explore the persistence and impact of antisemitism worldwide
    3) Explore ways to support students’ commitment and ability to actively respond to and prevent antisemitism and other forms of prejudice
